Samsung preparing a 2GHz dual-core smartphone for 2012

We are now at a stage where lot of Dual core Smartphone popping up regularly. Users are confused which one they will get or should just wait for a better one. According to a Korean site the giant chip-maker Samsung working on a 2GHz dual core processor based on their recently made Exynos processor seen on latest Samsung Galaxy S II Android Smartphone.

“We are planning to release a 2Ghz dual core CPU-equipped smartphone by next year,” said a high-ranking official from the company. “This product will have the data processing capacities of a regular PC.” Samsung is still developing the dual core CPU to be used in the smartphone. It is highly likely that it will be launched under the Exynos brand, a processor brand launched by the company in February.

It would have been easier for Samsung to make a 4GHz single core proceesor rather than 2GHz dual core, but due to battery life issue and as Dual core facilitates multitasking using smartphones by allotting the workload on two separate cores made up Samsung’s mind to working on a 2GHz processor.

The dual core 2GHz will not only take it place on Samsung Devices, but also samsung has plan to sell them to other manufacturer.
